Spermatic cord block in open inguinal hernioplasty

Background: Spermatic cord block is a useful technique for providing anesthesia with scrotal pain and it has been described published in the urology literature more than 40 years. inguinal hernioplasty along spinal anaesthesia avoids potential risks of neuraxial general provides long-lasting postoperative analgesia. The aim this study to evaluate effect 0.5% Bupivacaine spermatic hernioplasty.Methods: This was carried out KPC medical college hospital on 100 patients ASA physical status I II, age older or equal 18 years undergoing elective open from September 2021 August 2022. Patients were randomly allocated into two groups: 50 received after mesh placement by bupivacaine 5 ml (0.5%), 1 normal saline (group 1), 6 injection cord.Results: There no significant difference between demographic data, patient characteristics, heart rate, mean arterial blood pressure, oxygen saturation studied groups. significantly rapid onset prolonged duration blockade, decrease visual analog scale score at h 12 postoperatively amount rescue analgesia group respectively.Conclusions: surgery improves block, prolongs reduces consumption analgesics.
